Jeep Safari Excursion – Worth the money

I recommend to read everything, that would imagine, that you are waiting for. Moderators I ask not to delete photos – they are all necessary for completeness of information.

I think everyone who was with Emirates as entertainment of itself visited excursion Jeep safari. We too had to entertain ourselves with something. And yes, we decided to take this excursion – it is quite popular in those parts.

Well, as it is clear from the name, you are taken on off-road vehicles. But not somewhere there on mud, impenetrable jungle or gullies, and due to the existing climatic feature of the area – it is a desert. Well it would seem, what is interesting to ride on sand?
I’ll tell you.
We sat several people on huge Land Cruisers. Eh and power of course… mini-tanks.) 6 litre engines with a huge herd of mustangs under the bonnet. But if you do not want to get buried in the sand, easily overcome loose dunes – this is the right car.
We are brought to the starting point. At the improvised car park there are several shops with souvenirs, food, to buy water or something else, a toilet.

While we are hanging out the drivers, meanwhile, are preparing the cars. What’s the point of preparing them, one might ask. Just get in and go. But no. For desert and sand driving, at least half the tyre pressure must be lowered. This increases the tyres’ footprint. Minus this, increased fuel consumption.
And in the meantime we bought ourselves a souvenir – an arafat for me:) Ana an air silk scarf. We had them wrapped round our heads straight away. Very high quality shawl, still sometimes use it instead of a scarf. But I can’t tie it on my head anymore:) forgot how.

Three or four cars move out at a time. If anything, they’ll back you up and help.
At first, it’s like nothing interesting. But it was necessary to go a little deeper into the desert and it started:)!
The flat areas were replaced by embankments of dunes. Acceleration-braking, acceleration-braking-slope-jump-acceleration-slope-slope-sideways-yuz. And so constantly:)
If someone gets motion sickness in transport (or those who can’t stand the plane well) – this entertainment is definitely not for you.
We were picked up last, and we got the most rear seats, you can say in the boot, on the additional third row of seats. It’s not good to look ahead, you can’t see much. In this respect, it was very good for the person in front. But he loses out on the fullness of the experience. Looking through the side windows is not very interesting either. Again, not the same sensations and you can accidentally bang your forehead on the glass during a sudden jolt (you can’t see what’s about to happen). And while Anechka was struggling to cope with nausea and her body, I had no choice but to sit half sideways and look back, filming how the rear cars were jumping.
No, of course I was jumping too. After all, the back row of seats has the most chatter:) Once my head was almost ripped off by the seat belt))) Fearing a repeat, I missed the belt under my armpit (a life hack for those sitting in the back seats) and it became much easier not only to jump and dangle in the seat, but also to take off.
That’s how we make a stop for a rest after tumbling across the dunes. Some of us came out half-bent and immediately sat down in the sand. Sometimes people even used a bag in the process. Well, what did you want, so shakes up-down-acceleration-braking-right-left-forward sideways)) in short in every way.

We have a photo shoot. I didn’t have a good smartphone (I bought it just there in the UAE at the end of the holiday and still use it) and my current fujis. Photos and videos were taken on an old soapbox. I wish I had a fuji back then, wow what night shots I would have had! Just go again)

I asked to take a picture with the drivers-no problem, they agreed. Our driver was an Arab. It’s not very common. Mostly Indians, Pakistanis, etc. who moonlight. Guess which one is ours.
