Hello! In 2017 we travelled to the Arab Emirates, Dubai. Going on a jeep safari was a long time dream of mine and after paying $45, I realised it.
True, the tour started with a hitch. On the appointed day, we went out to the hotel and eeeeeee. nobody came to pick us up. After standing for half an hour, we realised that something was going wrong and went to call the agency. The operator began to apologise and postponed the trip to the next day, promising that they would pick us up earlier than other tourists, giving us a choice of seats in the jeep. Good thing we didn’t have to leave yet.
Attempt number two was a success. And I got the best seat in the auditorium – next to the driver. The driver was an Arab who spoke English. Music was playing in the jeep and we raced into the desert.
On the way we stopped at a shop and after about fifteen minutes we could see the orange dunes.

Sometimes it felt like we were tumbling sideways or forwards, but it was all in fun.
The last stop we made was at an open air camp. Tents with entertainment, open air tables awaited us at this place.
Here we could ride camels, take pictures with birds of prey.
There was dinner and entertainment programme waiting for the jeep passengers. First we went round the tents, drew henna on our hands, bought drinks. Then we ate and settled down to watch the artists dance.
By this time it was getting dark. We were sitting around, chatting amongst ourselves. Some smoked hookah, some sipped wine. It was deserted. Music was playing. Time stopped.
… After the show was over, we got back into our cars and drove to Dubai. On the way, the driver asked us if we had been to Sharjah. Our answer was no and he offered to show us the city for free. So our tour didn’t last long.
Satisfied and tired we returned to the room. I really enjoyed the trip and I recommend everyone who will fly to Dubai to buy this tour. At least once in the desert is worth a visit.
Thanks for your attention!
