I was staying in Abu Dhabi. I bought the tour from my tour operator, Anex Tour, for $50. At about 3pm, a minivan picked me up from my hotel. Our mini-group turned out to be mixed, consisting of German. The German spoke English very well, much worse than me, but we communicated. The German girls said that it was the second time they had been on this excursion and they really liked the “drive of riding” in the desert. Do desert we drove not long, half an hour or so.
Further began “desert slides” – extreme “rides”, sharp descents on the jeep down, and other turns. I was not embarrassed by it, young people too. But on the excursion there were two elderly fumes who did not like it very much, they said that they got seasick. It spoilt the general mood in the group. We changed seats, I sat “quite backwards”, the ladies were put forward, but they were not relieved. I do not know who is to blame in this situation, poorly informed travel agencies tourists, or tourists who do not understand where they are going.
On the way to the Bedouin village, there were two stops. The first in the desert, where we took photos. The second stop was at a camel farm. There was a lot of manure there, it smelled so-so. After the photo shoot we went directly to the Bedouins. On arrival we were given tea, then had free time until dinner.
Before dinner we could do henna mehendi, it was included in the price of the tour, but had to wait for a queue. Mehendi was erased very quickly. Someone showed pre-prepared drawings from the internet, they were successfully performed by the artist.
I don’t remember that somewhere it was marked board riding as part of the tour. Camel rides, on the other hand, were. The camels, though, were already tortured and angry.
Dinner was served buffet style. The food was varied, it was quite enough for me. Alcohol was at extra cost.
The Bedouin show was held at short intervals. A belly dance was performed by a flexible petite girl. A young guy demonstrated a skirt dance, and I managed, to participate a little in this dance. The last one was the Fire Show. Spectacular!”
By the end of the evening the hookahs were ready. All had time to try, there were enough replacement caps. Back we already drove quietly, in half an hour we were in Abu -Dhabi + time to divide all on hotels. I would hardly go on this tour a second time, but at least once in the Emirates it is worth visiting.
