Jeep safari is the most favourite excursion in Emirates. Been on it twice, and both times I was thrilled.
We bought the tour from a high street agency (Alladin, Arabian Knight), price 55$ per person. Personalised excursions are more expensive. Excursions from all agencies essentially go to the same place, so it’s all the same where to buy.
The excursion programme is the same everywhere:
- jeep rides on dunes and dunes
- camel farm
- dinner in Bedouin camp (I liked it, soft drinks are included in the price, alcohol can be purchased)
- camel riding, photo in national dress
- dance show
- henna tattoo (one small tattoo is free of charge).
From the hotel you are picked up in the afternoon (about 14-15 hours) by jeep and taken directly to the desert, to go about an hour. Our driver did not speak only English.
The driver flattens the tyres to drive in the desert.
Then you ride along the most beautiful barchans and dunes, making stops for photo shoots. In the evening in the desert is very comfortable, the heat subsides. And the sunset is simply amazing!!!
The trip through the desert is very extreme, you will literally jump on the dunes and drown in the sand. The car is very shaky, if you get seasick, it is better to take a pill.
You’ll then be taken to a Bedouin camp (not a real one, of course), where you’ll be treated to a dance show and a delicious dinner ( buffet).
Camel Farm
You will be taken to the hotel after 21-00. The excursion, of course, I recommend. Definitely won’t regret it!!!
